*closed* Getting logged out if I leave the forums open

This is a minor annoyance, but I thought I'd mention it in case it can be changed easily. When I log into these forums, I check the box to automatically log in each time I visit. However, if I leave a web browser with the forums open too long (maybe an hour or two?) it automatically logs me out. I tend to keep a tab with the ToME forums open most of the time, so I run into this situation a lot.

If the goal is to not have a bunch of people showing as online on the forum if they're actually idle, perhaps the idle users could be excluded from that metric but still stay logged in. Getting automatically logged out is a bit of a hassle.

EDIT: Closing since this is likely an issue on my end rather than with the forum itself.

I've never experienced this problem. Are you on any sort of non-standard browser or connection?

I use Firefox. I suppose it could be an issue with my connection or browser settings, but I'm not aware of anything specific that would be causing it.

Cookies would track by IP, if your ip is shifting due to some sort of proxy or firewall, I suppose that might do it. Short of tor, not sure what would change your ip as you browsed though.
