From the description of Rune: Lightning:
"... any damage will teleport you to an adjacent tile..."
From the description of Dimensional Shift:
"When you teleport you reduce the duration of a single detrimental effect..."
Playing Ogre Temporal Warden, I carefully watched the duration of some effects (stun, insidious poison, burn) while being hit after casting Rune: Lightning and the teleport didn't trigger the effect duration reduction.
I've seen people on the forums saying how the lightning rune is awesome as a free teleport for TWs in 1.3.0, and didn't see anything about it in 1.3.1 release notes, so I assume this not working is a bug.
(I notice that the effect created is "Elemental Surge: Lightning", which doesn't say the word teleport. If the rune isn't a "real" teleport, then the bug isn't that it doesn't work, but that the rune has "teleport" written on it.)

that's probably just badly worded.
with "teleportation" you bend time and space to relocate yourself, bat with the rune, you bend yourself into a different state of existence. or at least that's how i think its happening.

Maybe it's a bug, or maybe it's bad wording making it look like there is a bug. I'd like to hear which it is from someone who knows for sure how it's meant to work.Radon26 wrote:that's probably just badly worded.

Either way I think it needs fixing, because it's the sort of wording that can get a Temporal Warden killed if they haven't tested it enough. (Expecting to lose your deadly debuffs while putting debuffs on your enemies? Sorry, nope! What, did you think you'd found a fun synergy that allows you to run a rune you could never justify using before?) Surely if it's not a teleport for the purposes of on-teleport talents, it shouldn't use the word.
The "Elemental Surge: Lightning" buff has a better description that could be modified slighly for the Rune: Lightning which causes it:
"...blah blah shoots a useless lightning beam blah blah... Also, for 2 turns, when damaged you turn into pure lightning and reappear near where you were, ignoring the damage."
I know as a software dev this stuff is never as easy to fix as it looks like, but it would make the expected behaviour clear. Unless it actually is a bug.

I think its working as intended and shouldn't really say it is a teleport.
