[1.3] Loading chat history hangs game

As noted in the title, bringing up the chat message log will hang my game when it tries loading new messages. This also occurs when tabbing to the chat log from the in-game log. It will, eventually, recover, but I have literally spent 15 minutes waiting for the game to respond. I'm tempted to think that it's just my hardware, but this has plagued me consistently since the stable release. It wasn't present in the RCs.

Seconding this. I waited over 16 minutes in which it was completely unresponsive. Glad it's not just me and my potato.
