Broken Te4 account.

Great game, love playing. I have a problem with my steam account. It was created using my real name. I tried creating an account to transfer it to, but I cannot log into the game with that new account at all. I can log into the web page using the new account just fine, but when I go to "Reset Data", it says "No game account." Also when I try to click on Redeem Key in the left-hand navigation I'm told to log in. Both reset data and redeem key work fine when I log into the website with the steam account or a third account I created just to test things on my end. I can also log into the game just fine with the Steam account, but, of course, all achievements are broadcast using my real name. Is there some way to fix this account or delete it and change the username associated with my Steam account?

Are you saying your tome account name is using your real name? If so, you will need to contact darkgod to have it changed. Changing your steam account name won't affect your tome account, as they are two separate things.

Yes, that's part right. The te4 account that Steam created when I first signed up used my real name. What I tried to do was create a new te4 account with the correct name and attach steam to that account instead. Something went wrong and the account doesn't work at all. I can't even use it to log into the stand-alone client. I tried yet another, 3rd account and that actually works. I was able to connect the steam login to it, get my unlocks and play on it through steam. Unfortunately that's also not the name I wanted to use but at least it's not my real one.

It sounds like the answer is to contact darkgod either way. Is the best way to pm him through the forum? I didn't see any other contact info except the form. but that doesn't seem to apply.

There's a contact link on te4.org. This one. Send a message through that, specifying your account name (that uses your real name) and what you need it changed to. He may ask for more information, I'm not sure, but either way, this'll resolve the issue.

Thanks. That's the form I had found. I tried it and hadn't heard anything yet, but it's only been a week. I'll give it some time. Thanks for your help.

Hi Crim. It's been a month and I haven't heard anything. You said post here if I didn't and you'd notify Darkgod about it. I sent a new request through the contact form under Game feedback. I think this time it's a little more coherent about what my issue is.
