Zigur assault and Tempest tree

#1 Post by Lyoncet »

I recently cleared out Zigur with a Lightning/Tempest Archmage, and found some very unusual behavior from the friendly corruptors (but less so the Grand Corruptor). At first I noticed the generic corruptors were going hostile with me, which I determined was because of Thunder Storm and/or Hurricane hitting them. That's not really a bug, just a major inconvenience. However, I also found that I was completely unable to harm the corruptors even after taking down bone shield. It seemed like I could damage them with Thunder Storm and/or Hurricane, but my other spells seemed to glance off them. This was a huge problem since they could pretty much blast me down with impunity. I crashed the game a few times and found the same behavior every time. Interestingly, the Grand Corruptor seemed not to aggro from those spells, and I believe I could harm him normally. However it was a while ago – I just neglected to make the report until now – so I'm not 100% sure I'm remembering exactly whom I could hit with what.

I don't think the corruptors should be immune to friendly fire, but it would be nice to have them either not aggro on the player, or at least make them killable if they do aggro. I did make it through the encounter, but only by repeatedly crashing the game until I found out exactly what I had to do not to get slaughtered by a horde of angry, nigh-invulnerable friendly NPCs.
