Zigur quest causes "death" of character in explorer mode
Technically not death but if you cannot beat the enemy in the ring, your only option is to keep returning and chain dying or delete (the "I am weary of this life" option). I just lost my explorer level 10 berserker to this infinite loop. Since the intent of explorer mode is to not let your game end due to death, this seems like a "bug" in this context, because it forces you to delete your character or be stuck in the Zigur fighting ring forever.

Nice find.
Luckily losing lv10 explorer is not the end of the world.
There are other places where Recalling elsewhere from planar plane doesn't work. Usually in those places I lose all my lives, or rather used to. Nowadays I know what are hazardous places and will avoid them until ready.
Still, for explorers those are vile places effectively rendering chars unusable for future endeavors.
Roguelikes in general though aren't like MMORPGs or other similar games in which you create a character and be stuck with it forever.
In Roguelikes dying is good for you as it teaches you stuff.

Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.

I've played many roguelikes and I have no problem with them. But as a matter of principle this "feature" shouldn't be there and is easily fixed with a simple line of code: char = explorer, then option d) spawn me somewhere else please! If the option to play without permanent death is given, then it should be honored.
