[1.2.3]Really slow when starting a new game with no internet
Game slows down a lot when you try starting a new game with no internet connection. So much so that I force quit it several times before it finished as I thought it had died on me.

I had the same problems for several weeks. Then the game randomly conected to my profile while playing, altough I never pressed the button. Since that day it runs smooth.
Seems like it tried to do something really hard. I took more than 30 seconds from "new game" or "load game" to the character creation screen/ingame character. I also noticed that the game it self runs noticeably smoother since that day too.

In 1.2.4 I now have the issue every time when playing without internet conection and it's even longer during each menu transition.
As said, it was fixed for me in 1.2.3 when I conected once and it never happend again, even without conection afterwards. In 1.2.4 I now have this problem every time I play without conection. When playing with internet conection, everything runs smoothly.
