Tirakai's Maul de-tiered

So I got weirdly lucky on killing Prox and had several artifacts drop, including Tirakai's maul and Bill's Tree Trunk. Comparing at the time, it showed the maul as tier 2, and stronger (though lower max damage). So I equipped it, then swapped it out for the trunk against bill for comedy. Then got some gems so I figured I'd put one in...and suddenly Bill's Tree Trunk is way stronger than it...and its suddenly a tier 1.

Think it's a bug and not just me totally reading things wrong.

Hmm im actually not sure if this is intended or not, I'm going to find out when I get a hold of the one who made it. But do note that it scales with gem tier, so it is as powerful as the base maul if you use a tier 2 gem. (except you lose weapon mastery bonuses, which I have already fixed on my branch)

yes the maul starts as tier 2. gems modify this to the tier of the gem. so imbuing it with a tier 3 gem makes the maul tier 3. in my opinion this would make the maul less useful as a melee weapon, see previous post.

I was pretty sure I added a tier 2 gem, but maybe not. It was real early game stuff, so I figured it'd end up useless in a short while anyway. Either way, it is very confusing and unclear that such was about to happen.

on my new alchemist i found this maul yesterday and the maul matches the tier of the used gem.
it doesnt get fixed to the first gem you put in.
yes the description is lacking, only says it can be enhanced with a gem

Fixed, will now get the same damage/apr/crit with a tier 1 gem as it is without any gems (and is at least tier 2)
