Most (80%+) of the time, any charactes I attempt to type (letters, numbers, symbols) into the chat are doubled, turning the sentence 'this is a test.' into something along the lines of 'tthhiss iiss aa teesstt..'.
Has supposedly occurred with bug report description box as well, though I can't confirm that one.
