Can't load living character

[Fortescue]

Hi, I have a level 5 Cursed named Fortescue that is visible in my account, alive, but when I try to load this character in the standalone or Steam version of ToME I am not given the option to do so. I still have the save folder with that name on my PC, but I don't know what is going wrong. This has happened to my last few characters with this name.
