[1.1.5]Something very wrong with Static History and resting

#1 Post by Robsoie »

Hello

Playing currently a Paradox Mage, with heavy battles, my paradox is going high as expected due to the amount of skill you need to use to defeat enemies when they are legions.

To help myself with resting my Paradox level, i setup Static History on autocast when no enemies is detected, its current cooldown is 23 , so each 23 turns, while i'm resting, the slow lowering of my Paradox get lowered a lot by that skill activating, cutting down on those long resting session.

So far no problem, until my health is full.
When my health is full, i stop resting , the game telling me all ressources and life at maximum
Image

Except that my Paradox is not rested at all !
If i press R again, nothing happen as "all ressources and life at maximum" .

Now notice the Static History icon that is at 23

Now if i spend 4 turns doing nothing, so that icon cooldown go to 19 , if i press R, i am resting and my paradox lower as expected.
Once the Static History activate and my paradox get lowered much by it, same thing happens "all ressources and life at maximum", and i'm stuck at the same point, i have again to wait 4 turns manually to get the Static History down to 19 cooldown and i can press R again.

Auto-cast talents are not considered when calculating talent cooldowns that can be 'r'ested away. This is for the obvious reason that trying to 'r'est away a cooldown for an auto-casting talent could make your 'r'est length indeterminate.

Hmm, if Static History didn't interrupt Spacetime Tuning, then you'd rest as expected.
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.

As long as i am not full health, Spacetime Tuning has absolutely no problem with being interrupted by Static History, rest will continue as it should.
The problem happens as soon as i am full health.

The problem is that the game can't tell that there's anything for you to gain from resting.

Doctornull is quite correct, Spacetime Tuning continuing with Static History would help a lot.
