[1.1.2] Crystal Focus cannot be used from inventory

When attempted I get the "You must wear this object to use it!" message.
Haven't yet tested other artifact gems (Burning Star) but seems likely given the recent update.

Message is somewhat misleading. Only Psionic class and Alchemist's golem can wear gems.

Maybe a 'can be used from inventory' flag is needed then?

I am having same problem with Burning Star. Can't use, says I need to equip it first.

I also have a Crystal Focus in my inventory, but I haven't tried to use it.

These need the .use_no_wear flag set. They're gems and as such can be equipped in the gem slot by mindslayers or by alchemist golems, and wearable items must be worn to be used by default.

Is there some way to fix this from within the game?

Would it fix the bug if I waited for the next patch and then loaded up that character? I'm really really curious as to how the Crystal Focus modifies gloves; I've never used it on gloves before!

Loading the character up in the next version won't help. The crystal focus for your game has already been generated with the flag set and won't be changed with a new game version.
