The Zigare branching out

#1 Post by Sirrocco »

Just got hit by a Ziguranth ambush today. First foe I found on the screen was a necromancer. Might want to check that.

Probably has nothing to do with this, but Myssil keeps drooping Arcane powered Artifacts when I side with the Grand Corrupter.

I'm running on mac, if that helps. I've been playing a dwarven reaver mostly. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens sometimes. I've since also run into standard Zig-like zig patrols as well. My guess is that it sometimes leads an adventurer party when you hit a zig? I dunno. If I see more of it, I'll give you more info on it.

so, hunting zig patrols...
- summoner/doomed/light paladin
- summoner/oozemancer
- summoner/wyrmic/some sort of fighter

Yeah - it doesn't seem all that common. Maybe crank up the frequency they generate at, give yourself a character that's significantly overpowered for its level and chomp them like popcorn for a little bit?

Huh. I assume it generates enemies at time of ambush? I noticed that they could get injured by encountering other overland packs, and often had fewer foes while injured. If the packs wandering around in the overland map both knew what enemies they contained and were capable of healing, it's vaguely possible that it could be doing something like losing a few to an adventurer party and then healing them back off the adventurer list. It would explain why you weren't running into any with your fresh-spawned ones. That's kind of a stretch though. Other than that, I have no idea. I'm on a mac, but I can't see how that would have anything to do with it.

Every time someone so far has brought this up in chat, as well as Sirrocco and myself, there is at least one common thread. They have all been either Reavers or adventurers using some Reaver talents. Could be related to that.

If an addon has not correctly labelled the power sources its classes use, those classes could be used in a Ziguranth patrol.

I doubt it's addon related. I have gotten this and don't have any addons except item-vault and Stone Warden.
