[1.0.1] Worm mass stays at 0 hp and doesn't die

#1 Post by Feuerhai »

I got to the Ruins of Kor'Pul with my Thaloren Archer. I found there many Monsters in a room and killed them all with my pircering arrow (I'm a bit overleveled for the area), but one worm mass didn't want to die. Every time I hit it it says I killed it. It also regenerates hp again but it doesn't attack and says "killed" when I hit it even when it has some hp left.

This bug has been reported before, this is the to one i could find though. It usually doesn't bother me, i get it fairly regularly, but... Now the unkillable mob is sitting on the stairs, so you can't go down. Just thought I'd add this to one of the posts

Still happening in 1.0.3. It occurred in the Scintillating Caves. Each strike counts as a kill, but it doesn't seem to increase XP.

EDIT: Realized this may be an "anomaly" since I'm playing Temporal Warden.

Nah, this is completely unrelated to Chronomancy bugs. This has been going on for a while now. I guess no one has been able to figure out yet why it happens.

If someone is having difficulty duplicating the bug, I was able to get it repeatedly in the slime caves (the ones that unlock the oozemancer) with relatively little effort (playing on a mac, if that matters). Build an oozemancer, max out the first three skills in the mucus tree and appropriate other gearing, with high cunning. Don't bother using any other attack skills. Try not to catch slimes in you blast too much - let your minions and mucus poison take care of them for the most part, occasionally using the blast to take them out when you have them in large numbers or your minions are dying too quick or whatnot. The constant spawning means a lot of slimes, the low damage hits from your minions means a nice high spawn-to-kill ratio for new slimes, and something in the mix seems to generate them pretty readily. I suspect it has something to do with specific skills, as I had never had this on any previous character, and they just kept popping up on the oozemancer. I don't know if ti mattered, but I also had unlocked the nature-based unlockable tree, and sunk at least a few points in its last skill.

Mind you, as "playing the game" goes, it's awfully grindy, but as "reproduce this odd, rare bug" goes, it's pretty efficient.

[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD
