Those are antimagic gifts.
In order to learn them, you have to fulfill the same requirement as learning an antimagic gift from an escort-no Runes or spell based abilities anywhere on your character.

shouldnt those trees then either be removed from, or turned red, on the description of the prodigy so players are aware of this?
While the description says some will not be available, how are we supposed to know WHICH ONES are not available?

By knowing which you can get from escorts, which the list generally mimics-all of those are Escort categories, and the ones forbidden are those you'd get by Zigur betrayals.
Having said that, perhaps that is assuming too much game knowledge and thought on a skill choice, and it's conceivably possible to get far enough to learn it, now, without knowing anything about Zigur betrayals.
A good replacement for the line "Some will not be available, depending on your status toward magic." would be "Technique / Mobility, Technique / Field Control, Wild Gift / Call of the Wild, Wild Gift / Mindstar Mastery, and Psionic/Dreaming will not be available if you possess spells or runes.".
(Though, isn't the description missing Psionic/Dreaming for Antimagic options? And Chronomancy/Chronomancy, for the arcane stuff? The skill can actually call those up, but the description's missing it.)

Mmh. I think Technique/Mobility shouldn't be Antimagic at all, but that's just me.

It could be moved to Rogue escorts as a second category/skillset for them(Just retool them to be more generic Rogues...or just make them Marauders.).
To be honest, it would probably be safe enough. But that's probably not a proper topic for bugs.
