[RC1, Linux]Random freezes

Once in the Scintillating Caves, targetting Rush.
Once in Derth, just in the middle of selling stuff.

([b43] was stable for me apart from a couple of CTDs with the particle effects error.)

In both cases, the console window was still displaying chat log messages.
Randomly clicking around the screen in the Derth freeze was generating location unreachable, suffocating, etc messages in the console as though moving the character, even though the shop window was displayed.

Was able to reload the character, but none of the shops in Derth are working. Tried shops in Elvala, they're fine.
Back to Derth, no joy. Just click or try to move into the shop tile, nothing happens. Interaction with NPCs work OK too.
Weird.

Shops tend to break if you crash in a town. To fix it, save outside town, go into your save folder, and delete zone-town-derth.teaz
