Long standing bug - tile priorities

#1 Post by daftigod »

Hey, there's a bug in the tile display routine with the "trim" tiles on thigs like sand, mountains, and other walls. Always, at certain points in the game, the priorities will get scrambled and you will see artifacts of sand in the middle of a mountain chain where there shouldnt be. Also, where a river meets up with an ajacent mountain tile, the sand trim will be higher than the moutain tile and it will render on top.

This should be an easy fix, just set all fringe tiles to the same priority as the base tile. Mountains, then grass, then sand, and water on the bottom. Im at work now, but if you need pics i can put some up later today. Thanks!

Is this the same thing that makes mountain tiles be replaced by grass as the game slowly wears on, on the world map? Or is that a separate bug?
