Many points of interest disappeared on my wilderness map

On the Far East wilderness map, all of my points of interest disappeared except for Gates of Morning, Unremarkable Cave, the Dark Crypt, and the Orc Breeding Pit. Currently, I'm stuck with nothing to do but far portal exploration because I never got a chance to complete the other quests. I'm not sure, but I believe it started happening after I completed the Dark Crypt. Any way for me to salvage this game?

Update: I deleted my far east quests (hadn't started them yet) in my save file and took the quests again. That allowed me to go everywhere but the underwater cavern. However, while I was trying to figure out how to fix this issue, I had deleted my wilderness zone and level files, hoping that regenerating them would work. Unfortunately, now that I've gone back West, I no longer have a portal to my fortress, Reknor, Angolwen, etc. Any way to fix this reasonably so I can salvage this game? Virtually certain this character is a winner - and it's my first.

Have someone found a solution for this yet? I have the exact same problem.

A regeneration of the wilderness level is what caused this problem to start with.
Making it happen a second time isn't going to make things better.

This also just happened to me, I died in adventure mode in the far east and all the orc pride zones disappeared from my map
