Able to generate infinite paradox in Eidolon plane

#1 Post by Argon »

I'm presuming this must be a bug - I was able to generate an infinite paradox by casting spells in the eidolon plane - no backfires or anomalies. In particular, I used the spell ashes to ashes. As I did this, the paradox cost of the spell quickly went up and up, until the failure rate was 100%, and kept going up exponentially until it had reached absurd levels:

When I tried casting it, it of course backfired, resulting in this:

The strange thing was that I was not dead, but could still act. However, upon being hit once by the shade, I then died. At which point I tried casting turn back the clock in the Eidolon plane, resulting in this:

I did this in an earlier version, combined with the 0% failure/backfire/anomaly power of space-time stability to get 10k+ damage on a hit of TBTC.

I can't view those images. Anyway, I'll look at decoupling failure rates from the backfire and anomaly checks on the eidolon plane (when I get back from vacation).
