When summoning a hydra with grand arrival, the poison cloud summoned damages the hydra (no damage to the summoner, however). It probably shouldn't.
Meditation's active and passive (via rest) both go to zero regardless of any active sustains. Any spell cast will return your equilibrium to the proper minimum.
