first attempt to > from wm leads to running?
Have noticed that pretty consistently, the first time I try to enter (>) a town/dungeon from the world map, it asks me where I want to run. Somehow missing the fact that I have the <shift> key depressed and only seeing the (.).

I experience this too and with anything I have hotkeyed to shift as well.
I'd just been assuming it was my keyboard crapping out on me but now that you brought it up I realized I type with the shift keys all the time without any problems.

There's some sort of race condition between the shift key and the normal key. Same thing happens to me unless I slow down and think "shift key down", "wait a teeny bit", "normal key down", "normal key up", "shift key up".
I can't tell whether the race happens on the press or the release.
