[b36] Dead end in Tempest Peak if missing Rod of Recall

I managed to miss the Rod of Recall on my last character. After going to Tempest Peak via Angolwen to take out Uskis (as part of the Derth quest), I found there was no way back. After searching online, I found that the only way back was to use the Rod of Recall - so my character was left stranded and unplayable.

I think there are several possible ways around this:
- Have the elder give you the Rod if you don't already have it. (Probably my preferred solution, as the most newbie-friendly.)
- Have the elder give you another item which you can use to teleport back.
- Have the elder teleport you back on completion of the quest. (This isn't ideal, as it prevents you from clearing the level after beating Uskis.)
- Add a suicide command. (Certainly not my preferred solution, but it would at least give a sense of closure to the save file!)

I know this is a b36 bug, but I'd rather not try and replicate it on b37 and I didn't see anything mentioned in the changelist...
