Then I noticed, nothing was shown about fortress energy, and I realized to my horror that even though I had spawned the butler I hadn't "talked" to him.
tl;dr I wasted all the items I had saved for Farportal energy.
This isn't a bug, but if I could do this, then any player can do this.
Please consider starting the Fortress energy count as soon as he spawns for the sake of dumb people like me.
