[b35]Negative ice block+Dimensional Step constantly fizzle

I was fighting Wrathroot, and when I pop shield, got frozen, and tried to break out, the thing in the picture happens...only after the frozen duration runs out that I'm broke out...

Also, during and after that fight Dimensional Step will always fizzle when cast, even if I drop everything in my inventory and have 0 paradox...only after a few hundred turns that the thing can be cast reliably again...and then it starts to revert to constantly fizzle...does this have to do with me being overweighted and back down from that?

Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...

You can't teleport while frozen. Also, in that picture you're next to a vault, which can cause directed teleports to fizzle.

1: That's not a vault...I think...the door doesn't have the open warning...

2: I did refer that it constantly fizzle out even after battle...I'm not frozen, I dropped everthing from my inventory (except plot items), I have 0 paradox, and my teleport are always outside that building when I test it, and it failed, repeatedly...
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...

Not all vaults have locked doors (though all the larger ones do), and the area of a vault can extend several tiles out from the outside walls, making even open ground no teleport. Have you tried going 5-6 tiles away and trying there? If not, you may still be within the "vault" area.

Yep, tried on the other side of the map...sometimes it works for several times in a row, then it goes back to not working several times in a row...hell, around there? Sometime it works...but only very small chance...

In the end it doesn't really matter though...the girl lost her final life against the horror guarding the farportal...

Also, vault without locked doors? Funny, even the single tile vault that can spawn in Trollmire have locked door...

And about negative ice block: someone else got issue too...

Hmm, do you remember if you had any items that gave teleport immunity? IIRC there was a bug that caused it to be checked when teleporting yourself sometimes.

I think there's one with +10% teleport immune...although it still happens even if I removed it and drop it on the ground...

That bug was fixed either this beta or last beta (last I think).

As to what luke was saying a vaults no teleport area tends to include the whole vault file, which includes areas around the vault for the sake of placing it correctly on the map and ensuring that the entrance is accessible.

Once you left that level though Dimensional Step worked correctly? Because if so I'm going to assume it was just spotty no teleport flags on the level due to the vault. Any value that didn't get cleared when Ice Block was removed would have stuck around across multiple map levels and into Lake of Nur.

Sorry, but you're going to need someone else to test that...my character's dead...and I can't remember properly about after leaving that level...
