Started an arcane mage character but died in first mission, chose option to exit area when reborn, now can't re-enter mission or recieve any more plot missions now that i've completed two dungeons.

Yes the abashed expanse is a one try only zone, as for the next quest, jsut go to one of the zones you know and do it the quest will pop when you kill the boss (old forest, maze, sandworm lair, daikara)
