When I run the game, I get an a hand-drawn fantasy image, with a load counter at the bottom that remains resolutely at 0%. Waiting even up to 10 minutes doesn't change this. But if I leave that screen and run something else, instead--Microsoft Word, Firefox, etc--in full screen after just 1 minute, the game's music starts up, and the cursor changes to a fancy arrow, presumably the one used in Maj'Eyal.
But the game won't resume in the foreground. Even if I close whatever app I'm running, it still stays minimized. If I attempt to maximize it, I get a border at the top of the screen with the game's title, and that's all. I have to use the Task Manager to close the executable. I've tried playing in a variety of resolutions. That made no difference.
I'm running WinXP 32-bit, SP3. All virus checkers and other TSRs turned off for the duration of gameplay. Got 4 GB RAM. I'd appreciate any help, as the game sounds pretty fantastic.
There's a game, but only if run in the background.

Oi! Bug's fixed. I found a new video driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT card that was (literally) not more than 24 hours old. Runs perfectly, now. Hoopla!
