In theory (I don't know for sure, just reading the tooltip for Vim) the various Corruption spells should be refunded if they kill (last hit) a target.
This does appear to be true for some, Soul Rot for example, refund, but others aren't. Bone Spear, Blood Spray and possibly others (haven't done exhaustive testing yet) don't appear to refund the full amount of the spell, regardless of if they kill one, or multiple enemies at once. Bone Spear has failed to refund the full 13vim cost when I used it against a single target, killing it, let alone use it against 4 rats in a row, killing all 4. I am keeping track of the Vim regained via kills, and in some situations, even with that taken into account, I still end up with less net-vim than I had previously.
I'm just curious if this is intentional, or if there's something going on with the multi-target/line/aoe spells that causes them to refund less vim naturally. Soul Rot seems to refund the complete amount if it kills a target.
Additionally, the vim restoration part of Drain won't work if it kills a target, is that also intentional?

Re: [b34] Corruptor Spells not Refunding Full Vim Cost
I've honestly never noticed Vim recovery when using a spell to kill, nor does Drain seem to be very effective as a finisher. The latter seems... somewhat intentional, though perhaps too punishing, and the former I could take or leave. Honestly, after the first time I tried Reaver and read the tooltip for Vim, I pretty much immediately forgot that I was supposed to get my Vim costs refunded.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
