[b34] item selection in menus

The new keybindings seem to work... almost.
In item windows, with items labeled by keys... I cannot use my up, down, left, right keys, because pressing those keys takes me to the items of the same letter.

If I put the caps-lock down while in these menus, it works fine.

How about an option to disable menu/letter mapping? This would allow those who like to map old-school layouts to just use them without disrupting all the users who use the numberpad configuration.
