"Command" no longer acts like a proper modifier key(OSX,b33)

#1 Post by bricks »

On OSX, the "Command" or "Apple" modifier key no longer works properly. When trying to bind it + another key to a keybinding, it only accepts the "command" key press and returns as [M]+left command or similar. Once I have some time I'm going to muck around in the config files and see if setting it up manually works.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Something like this is happening on Vista as well in b32 and b33. 90% of the time, any shift-key keybind that isn't a talent or item (like 'R'est) refuses to work.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

Defining the keybindings manually sort of worked. I have command + an arrow key working, but it plays the obnoxious submarine "ping" whenever I use that combo. Didn't have this issue in earlier versions.

This worked for me as well, though I don't get submarine ping sounds when I used it. Might be a system sound setting for you, bricks?

The problem was with keybinds with a keybind description of capital letters. ("C", "R", "G", etc.) Redoing the keybind for Vista using the shift key produced keybind descriptions of "[S]+(C/R/G)", which works perfectly.

Yeah, it's a system sound, but that combination of keys doesn't usually cause it. I haven't found a setting in my system that would affect it.
