[b33] Grand Corruptor is a meany

#1 Post by Dekar »

Ok, so my level 17 Skeleton Alchemist went into the Spellblaze to get some easy experience, defeated the Grand Corruptor and decided to ally with him to destroy the filthy Antimagic people.

After killing every single one of them, I still needed some experience to level 18 and decided to kill the Grand Corruptor as well.

Unfortunatly it turns out he was invulnerable, even after dispelling all his sustains with my ruination staff.
So I went back to the Spellblaze and was happy to find the Grand Corruptor again, with the rest of the now friendly mages. But he was invulnerable here too, even after stripping him off all his sustains.

"If I cant kill him I will slay all his mage buddies and make him watch it!"
I started with using Corrupted Negation on the Grand Corruptor and a nearby mage, the mage took damage as expected.
I think 1 or 2 turns later I found myself in the Fearscape, alone except for the Grand Corruptor, who is still my friend, still invulnerable, enjoying watching me burn in the lava. :(

Note that you can escape from the Fearscape by waiting for your staff to recharge and hitting him with Corrupted Negation again -- it's a sustain, which Corrupted Negation will remove, allowing you to return to the real world. Obviously this won't solve the underlying problem, but it's at least a workaround.
