Transmogrification chest hotkey problem

I made [x] my transmogrification chest hotkey. When I hit [x], the transmogrification chest immediately transmogrifies item x in my inventory. Argh!

I see the exact issue with a number of functions which I have bound to keys, such as the chat dialog, typing things into the chat dialog (I have directionals mapped to keys, and this moves the input focus then types the character to the new field if its an input field), the use item function, etc.

This inconvenience is muted by my new ability to now command Legions of Undead Hoards on a quest to command More Legions of Undead Hoards. Best. Class. Ever.
