[b30] Character does not move

After clearing the opening dungeon with a dwarf berserker and visiting Last Hope to get an alchemist quest I take a couple of steps away and my character does not appear to move on the map. After saving and resuming, the character has moved to another location but the character still does not appear to move on the screen; the only way to get it to reposition is to click arrow keys then ESC-down-enter (no dialog box, but I'm familiar with the keys) and save, then you resume at the new location. I checked in Zigur and it is not purely an issue on the worldmap.
