[b30] Startup fail

Beta 30 fails to start. It displays a white screen, and uses about "100%" of the CPU capacity (100% = one core, I have a dual core). Macbook running OSX 10.6.8.

Solved. deleting the old application, then replacing it (which works) apparently isn't the same thing as dragging and dropping it over, and choosing "replace" (which led to this bug).
