As a thought-exercise, what if there WERE unbeatable mobs by design. Then the value of a reliable exit strategy becomes priceless. Of course, mechanisms should probably be put in place that ensured the (perhaps temporary) presence of such mobs would not completely impede a players ability to progress in the game.

Tentacles, not eyes... every 6 turns. Basically, this is The Mouth fight with The Mouth having Pacification Hex and Burning Hex. Hope you survive the pac hex, hahah.
