Daikara-game killing bug

#1 Post by Chattius »

My daughter couldn't find the stairs, even digging all walls away. It seemed as if the entry point to the time-quest was generated just at the stairs, overwriting them?

Oh ... eww :/

It's technically not game killing as you can jsut skip the daikara, but still its bad I agree :/

It is on level 4?

Don't know if it is 4. It's on the notebook of my daughter who is at train returning home currently. I thought it would be game killing because you have to finish daikara to jump to the next main quest, or?
I have to ask her in evening, or look at the save myself.

You don't need to finish Daikara to continue on, the main quest that you/your daughter is following at that point is more or less a "if you're lost, follow these directions" kind of quest - it tells you the recommended order to do the dungeons in. Just do the remaining "Into the darkness" quest dungeons if any haven't yet been done, maybe try the elven ruins to make up for experience not gained in Daikara 5-7, then head south to the Dreadfell dungeon. Gets kinda linear in there and the next two dungeons. You should get one of the main quests either on entry to Dreadfell, or when you leave after beating the boss there.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

Although I realize that the original post here is now two years old, I just want to say that I've just encountered exactly this problem on my present and furthest-yet character (level 20). Thank you for letting me know that completing Daikara is not necessary to carrying on beyond the "quest"! I was quite worried that I would have to give up on this guy.

You can also delete the level from the save folder and it will regenerate. Be sure to leave it first. Had to do a similar thing when Reknor 2 was created without a downstairs.
