Derth quest bugged

Entering the town, then leaving before all of the air elementals have been killed, caused the town to permanently revert to its pre-invasion state and made the quest impossible to continue.

Not a bug IMHO. Leaving the town should make the quest failed, otherwise it would be too easy to dispatch all the elementals by stairscumming.

That's fine, but then it's still a bug that the quest is active (instead of failed) and the town intact (instead of destroyed).

Yup, I got this bug too, and I do consider it to be a bug because it causes the quest to remain pending forever. If the quest is intended to fail upon leaving Derth, it should actually do so, not just make the encounter impossible to complete.

Another Derth bug, I entered at level 15 and the elementals where level 28+.
