Sandworm lair - spell effects last past spell duration

Acid splash and the brown spell (sandstorm?) effects never clear out of the sandworm lair. I was a rogue so couldn't test if my spells would have done the same. The following was in the log and looked relevant:

LOG] Gelatinous cube hits Twinkle Toes for #GREEN#45.52 acid damage#LAST#.

[ATTACK] attacking with steel dagger of daylight

It wasn't just after being attacked but was throughout the logs during any level with AOE spell effects still showing. No damage would occur in those areas, it was just the graphics.

I had this same problem with an Anorithil, and yes, the black shadow blast visual effect also got stuck, along with the green and brown from acid splash and sandstorm.
