Daylight Weapons adding damage to wielder, not weapon

#1 Post by yufra »

The "of daylight" suffix is currently adding to the wielder's melee_project table instead of the weapon's melee_project table, causing some insane dual-wielding damage projection. Here is a patch: http://pastebin.com/6PaaqAcp

Isn't that how elemental damage on weapons has always worked? A rogue dual-wielding a dagger of cold and a dagger of fire gets +cold and +fire damage on both hands. It's been that way for a long time. Or am I misunderstanding what you're reporting?

No greycat, you are absolutely right that elemental ego weapons in the past did this. That was considered a bug and was fixed before beta19 (not sure exactly when) and only the daylight suffix now does the "buggy behavior".
