I'm something of a beginning player, and I think that the higher-level leather boots seem really underpriced. Right now, the armor store in Derth occasionally generates Drakeskin leather boots for 7 gold. I think that they should be something more like 30.
Right now, looking at comparable items --
Iron boots -- 3 Armor for 2% fatigue, 3 enc, heavy armor training. 5 gold.
Rough leather boots -- 1 Armor for 1% fatigue, 2 enc, no prereqs. 2 gold.
Hardened leather boots -- 3 Armor for 3% fatigue, 2 enc, no prereqs. 4 gold.
Drakeskin boots -- 5 Armor for 5% fatigue, 2 enc, no prereqs. 7 gold.
Rough leather armour -- 1 Def, 2 Armor for 6% fatigue, 9 enc, str 10 prereq. 10 gold.
Cured leather armour -- 2 Def, 4 Armor for 7% fatigue, 9 enc, str 14 prereq. 12 gold.
The drakeskin boots are defensively way better than rough leather armor (10 gold), and arguably better than cured leather armour. Plus they take up a less-primary slot. So I think that they should cost notably more than the cured leather armour.
With my low-level characters, if the drakeskin leather boots cost 30, I would still be extremely happy to find them in Derth's store. (I'd probably put the hardened leather boots at something like 7).

Comparing boots to body armor isn't really sensible IMHO. Compare to other boots. And yes, I could see a case for raising the price on drakeskin items in general, since drakeskin shouldn't be a common material.
