Ambush and Real Death
So I killed the head orc during the ambush from coming out of Tol Falas, but the orc archers machinegunned down my Corrupter shortly afterwards. Ended up 'dead' to boot, no knocked out cold and loosing the staff, granted the portal out opened the moment the named guy was downed... but perhaps it should be another way? If you survive the entirety of the ambush, you can get away, but if you die, regardless of who you kill, you just get knocked out and proceed from there?

I dunno - if you actually kill their leader, I can see how they might not want to let you off with just a warning.

I agree, if you kill the leader and die, well, you die. If you don't kill him and 'die' - he tells the troops to leave you be.

On a similar but flipped example - I'm facing the assassins on the "save the merchant" quest. I take out the main assassin (spawning the stairs) but the merchant is on the other side of the room, surrounded by enemies and down to 17% health. I jump up the stairs - and the merchant is saved. Is that *really* how it's supposed to work?
