Items in vaults

I have the feeling that items in vaults are relatively disappointing. While the quality is improved (ie you can find mithril in Arda), the number of ego items is not so impressive and I even feel that in the far-east dungeons you can find much more egos items in the standard rooms than in the vaults.

I looked at the code and I saw that in most vaults the ego_chance of items is set to 25%. I have not been able to find in the code how this is used for items generation, but I have the impression that it supersedes the default ego_chance for a given depth of the dungeon. This would explain why in a deep dungeon you find relatively less egos in vaults...

That would make a lot of sense when vaulting in Tol falas and getting the same ego quality and amount stuff as vaulting in amon sul, as has been the case with me lately. I am glad that the material level of the items have generally improved, but that doesn't make the item necessarily better unfortunately. :(

I really have the impression that the number of egos items lying on the ground is smaller in vaults. But it is difficult to estimate precisely, as when I identify them they are merged with items dropped by npc that are in general of a better quality (but it is may also be a wrong impression!).

You're unlucky...
I found a vault in Tol Falas... and 3 out of 4 items were egos.
