[Beta 13] Rescue NPC pathfinding

#1 Post by Bobson »

The NPC I'm trying to rescue in the Old Forest just gets stuck. I have a screenshot here, which should show the problem much better than I can describe it, but basically, there's two equal paths to get to the portal, and both would involve going further away than the NPC currently is, so instead, he just keeps moving up and down the column in the forest he's in. If I leveled, I might be able to phase door him, but I've cleared the level and am still a few % shy...

Maybe killing him will get the xp you need? ;)

But hrm, quite an annoying problem there. No diggers on you?

I actually did have a pickaxe, so I did I get him through. Thanks, I'd forgotten about that. Still, a very silly alchemist :)

There should be a quest with reward of a black leather strap - it IDs as "The Escort Leash of Madam Whippy" - when worn, your chum becomes passive and loses the desire to se how many 'swish' noises they can hear in ten seconds.
