grrrr

#1 Post by teachu2die »

not necessarily a bug, per se, but just wanted to vent some frustration. i've now lost probably half a dozen promising level 12-18 characters to computer crashes, unexpected restarts, or laptop running out of batteries-type situations. i had lost several lvl 40+ characters in tome 2 these ways back in the day, and am finding myself going "grrrrrr" at the game yet again.
i guess because the game "saves" the world every time you leave a zone, it always leads me to believe that i don't need to save the game to save my character as backup.
should perhaps the game save the character file every time it saves the world, as well?

I support this, specially since saving takes a rather long while (at least in my PC), and yeh, every world save leads me to believe my character is well backup'd, but then I get a freeze from unlocking a class and... bang!

have also had this problem because I assumed it saved my character. Saving does seem to take alot longer the further along in the game you are too. Does it re-save every zone even if youre nowhere near them?

Agreed, when I see "Saving..." I assume it works like an auto-save in the majority of software.
<DarkGod> lets say it's intended

Ok ok :)
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD
