[beta 10b] Disappearing gems

I'm not sure if its a bug... but I miss quite some gems.

First I suddenly missed my two gems (+4 stat) that I originally wanted to craft into a special ring. I didn't think much of it, because I first thought it might have been my own stupidity selling them by accident. After howling in agony I went to plan B and picked up an onyx (+3 stats) and a fire opal (+10% dmg).
I punched my way through the demoncaves and when I talked with Limmir I suddenly noticed that the fire opal was missing. I checked the log, and the only time the word "opal" is found in the logs is, when I picked it up. Thus it doesn't look the way that some creatures (demons?) can destroy gems in your inventory - or at least it doesn't show up in the logs...

i had same thing, i was playing alchemist after gaining some of stuff from monsters i noticed my items began to disappear BUT then i discovered i can scroll down my inventory

But I know that you can scroll down and its really gone.

Update:
Crazy stuff... I went back to angolwen to pick up some amber for plan C (the opals were still gone there) and then went back into the demoncaves. There I noticed that the opal reappeared in my invent. However, it seems a gold ring isn't sufficient to hold the power of either a fire opal nor amber... *jeez*
Seems like plan D (+6% dmg) must be brought into action... so lets go back to angolwen and again go through the caves like the... uhm... fourth time in a row.

yeah I am holding out till I can find a mithril ring and 2 diamonds before I do that quest

though 2 pearls would be nice as well.

I gave it up. Can non-magic rings still be dropped? I've only seen them in the jewelry in Angolwen and there I've never seen anything better than gold.

Well, plan D finally gave me a nice +3 all stats, +6% all dmg, +10 defence ring. That is at least an improvement.

PS: After I finally gave up upon finding a fish-amulet or the *mancer unlocks and went towards High Peak - guess what droppen on lvl1 in HP? A "Amulet of the fish"... ahahaha... curse you RNG! I wont sacrifice any dices on your shrine anymore!

The non magical amulets (which they either need to be allowed to be made magical as rings, or taken out) and rings are very much more rare it seems in the far east than in middle earth. Before heading out east, I would stockpile the nonmagical rings, especially sense there are much much better gems in the far east.

How did you get 3 gems on one ring?

I didn't... Limmirs masterpieces add a random enchant to the stats of the two gems.

Good to know..now i just need a mithril ring for my pearl+shining pearl. Although 'need' might be overdoing it a bit
