Happened that on my Slinger I actually got access to the Slime skill category that you get from quaffing potions.
However, to my dismay, when I checked the specifics, the skills state that they cost equilibrium. AFAIK, equilibrium is a stat that doesn't decay over time, and needs Meditate to be gotten rid off.
Meditation isn't available to archers.
I'm unwilling to spend points in a category/skill if I'm not sure that I'll be able to actually use it.
A pity though, Slime Roots look absolutely fantastic for slingers/archers.
Any plans on letting them consume stamina instead if they're gotten on a stamina-resourced character?
Of course, I didn't actually try it out for obvious reasons, but if they DO consume stamina, maybe the help text should be changed to state this?

Re: Slime Potion quaffing
It does cost equilibrium, and yes it's harder to replenish, but it is possible, when you move in the wilderness (world map) it will replenish.
This means non-wilders can use it but need to be carefull and not abuse it. Sounds good to me

Re: Slime Potion quaffing
Looks underwhelming to me, at least for archers/slingers in this case. Spending one category point, 4 skill points, and god know how much gold on potions for the admittedly good benefit of targetted phase door?
Not to mention that everything is based on willpower, which isn't a main stat for non-wilders. (I dunno about mages since I don't play them.)
The benefit is good, but the opportunity costs are huge.

Well over the course of 50 levels you can max 3 stats out of 6, so it should be possible to get some for your hybrid stuff
Also along the line you get Slime Spit, which does slime ranged damage, based on dex (good for an archer!).
Slime damage slows down thargets (good for archer!)

Re: Slime Potion quaffing
Ok, I'll give it a try, but you can't really sell me slime spit. I know it slows and does damage based on dex, but the equilibrium points will pile up too much to be worthwhile for long dungeon crawls, imo. I'll give it a try.
The Roots are good, but mob snaring is already covered between Crippling/Pinning/Inertial/Eye shot. And Steady Shot is already very good damage per round, considering its low low low cost and very short cooldown.
Maybe an idea would be to make costs go down to 0 at 5? Just saying. Or maybe an artifact that reduces Equilibrium?

Re: Slime Potion quaffing
Ah yes equilibrium & divine artifacts are sorely needed

I was going to try and do a character based entirely on giving damage when being hit. Wyrmic or mage.
