Automatic saves when changing zones takes roughly 30 seconds to a minute or so, depending on how much game play there has been.

I haven't tried manually saving and not exiting yet.

Saving & Exiting takes roughly 2-3 minutes, again, depending on where I am (how much is on screen), how long I've played/how many zones I have been in.

But .. but ...
What's your CPU ?
What is that slow before beta10?

Beta 9 and 10 were both this slow in saving, but they were also slow in game play while beta 11 is not.

I'm running Intel Pentium 4 2.00 Gherz with 480 MB Ram. Windows XP home with service pack 3. I'm running the game itself off of my 1 TB external HD. It seems to function just slightly better running off of that than my computer itself.

I'm currently stuck in a save game super lag. My cpu usage is at about 15-20% (as if it's not running the game at all) but my page file usage is at 1.15 gigs, which is incredibly high for this computer.

I... don't really know what to do. I don't want to just force TOME to shut down because I haven't saved yet, but I certainty don't need it to sit there eating away at my resources.

Oh and recently I've been getting an alert when tome is running, specifically when it is auto-saving that I am getting low on virtual memory.

Edit: It's been saving for 30 minutes now...

It was with the auto save when changing zones and it sorted it self out in roughly an hour. So, just a very weird save freeze.

Just don't do anything when the game says "Saving..." and you'll be just fine. For example, don't cast Inferno with a mage... I learned that the hard way (hard disk reset that is)...
