Chant of Fortitude....on a cornac tempest?

Dunno if the race/class combo matters but my most recent tempest character has saved a few sun paladins recently...

I took chant of fortitude for..obvious reasons and...first level granted me 14 spell/physical save...level 2 granted me 24 spell/phyiscal save...and so on...i'm like a tank.

I'm fairly sure on other characters the first level was like 6 or something...this is a bug right?

Yea but that high? that seems reallllly high... im only 17 atm..my magic is...43 and at level 3 chant of fortitute is granting me 40 phys and spell save

Yes, that's intended - it's also based on spellpower.

And, saves don't matter really at all in this game. You need well into the high 180's+ [probably more like 200+] for them to start to resist semi (like, 15% of the time) anything, and you really can't realistically get them that high 100% of the time.

Take chant of fortitude next time. :D

My current mage with over 80 in Magic and 3 in Chant of Fortitude has 120 magical/physical save. I don't really know what this affects, but it seems a lot.

Saves are like Defense.

Just like you need a lot of defense for it to really matter you need a lot of saves for it to really matter.

120 though is pretty high...

and I imagine that character doesn't eat many status effects.
