Snowing in the Old Forest?

Well, at least it's not sticking!

I've got white pixels moving diagonally across my screen. This appeared when I entered the Old Forest. I've tried turning on and off the frame buffers and the shaders; still snowing. Happens on my laptop screen and also on an attached external monitor. Running Windows XP Pro on a Dell Latitude laptop.

It's supposed to be rain, and it is a feature, not a bug.
