So the skeleton archmage belongs to the angolwen faction (they shouldnt imo), and
the necromancer is neutral to them (shouldnt be again, but this would be fixed if the above were changed), and
if they escape with the cloak and go to the apprentice mage and talk with the cloak on, they get the non-mage talk, and
if they complete the quest and talk with the cloak on, they get the portal opened (on the wilderness map) and not the ring.
so what should be done:
a) make it so the undead overrides the class faction
b) make it so the chat and quest go with class/subclass and not faction

I think you should get mage talk/reward whatever race you play. In beta 11, skeleton archmages belong to "Reunited Kingdom", not "Angolwen", so you get the non-mage stuff just like you were not aware of Angolwen... which is kind of ridiculous since you can teleport to Angolwen!

Still not fixed in beta12. My current skeleton archmage is still belonging to "Reunited Kingdom".

Yes but it does not creates problems for the reward
