I dont want to introduce too many new objects with very little purpose each, so I selected the pickaxe for all your digging, sand digging and tree cutting needs )

Taking the sand-drake talent tree, pumping willpower, and then learning Burrow is an option for the return trip, but just barely an option. (It was more feasible when Burrow was the first talent in the tree.)

i tele'd in the elven ruins (level 3) on a fighter once to get away from something...got into a spot where there was no way out. i did have 1 scroll of phase door which luckily took me out of there (maybe it's intended to be like that?). if not i would have been stuck in there forever
